Our Theme For 2020To lead means that we are helping to take people from where they are, to a new place. This means that leaders need to know where they are going and must have a genuine passion for the goal toward which they are striving to lead others. Our theme this year is designed to help cast a new vision of leadership than what many young men have heard. The Christian message is that God has transformed us into not simply a new person, but into a new people, new citizens of a marvelous kingdom. This kingdom is full of light, and life because the King of this kingdom is the king of life and light. King Jesus calls us to be ambassadors of this great and glorious kingdom and to push it's boundaries into this dark and dying world. We have been given the gracious privilege to be tools in his hand to see the garden city of God brought to earth. "Thy kingdom come on earth, as it is in heaven..." The result of this calling is that the lives of Christians should be overflowing with hearts of worship that beat every moment of each day with a desire to fill this world with God's glory. It means that our work is not oriented toward our own goals, ambitions, and dreams, but are pointed toward the establishment of God's kingdom in whatever sphere of responsibility He has called us to cultivate. It means that when we engage in spiritual battle with the word of the Gospel that this battle overflows into this world and makes a tangible difference in real lives and in the world that we can see and touch. Christian Leaders need to see themselves as pushing the boundaries of Christs kingdom into this world and ushering our enemies into that kingdom by the transforming message of the gospel. The worship, work, and warfare of Christian leaders makes a difference in this world. We are excited to this year to introduce a new vision of leadership to the young men who will be participating.
